Prodigy/CME Machine Controller Board

PMD's Prodigy ®/CME Stand-Alone Motion Boards provide machine designers the capability to download and run motion programs directly on Prodigy Boards. This new capability off-loads the PC host and increases the flexibility to distribute motion programs throughout the machine. Programs can be downloaded to the Prodigy board over UDP and TCP Ethernet protocols, in addition to serial and CANbus protocols. They communicate via 16-bit parallel, Ethernet, serial, and CANbus. PMD’s Prodigy/CME Stand-Alone Motion Boards offer high-performance motion control for scientific, automation, industrial, and robotic applications. These motion control cards support multiple motor types, including Brushless DC, step, and DC Brush. Prodigy/CME Stand-Alone boards are available in 1, 2, 3, and 4-axis versions.

All PC/104 boards come equipped with Pro-Motion® GUI, C-Motion® API, and VB-Motion® development software. These boards support multiple motor types including Brushless DC, step, and DC Brush motors, and are available in 1, 2, 3, and 4-axis versions.

Modules

Atlas Digital Amplifier

The ultra-compact Atlas® Digital Amplifier provides single-axis high-performance torque control of Brushless DC, step, and DC Brush motors. Use it for direct control of motor torque or in conjunction with higher-level controllers for velocity or positioning applications. With a total power output of up to 1 kilowatt, and the size of a matchbox, the Atlas Digital Amplifier is ideal for laboratory automation, scientific instruments, general purpose motion control, HVAC, fan and pump controllers, and industrial motor control applications.

Digital Drives

ION 500/CME Programmable Digital Drive

A programmable version of the standard ION® 500 Digital Drive, the ION 500/CME allows designers to download and run motion programs directly on the ION 500 Digital Drive itself. This feature off-loads the host and allows for greater design flexibility with the distribution of motion programs throughout the machine. Programs can be downloaded onto the ION 500/CME drive over UDP and TCP Ethernet protocols, as well as serial and CANbus communications.

ION 500 and 3000 Digital Drives

The ION® 500 and 3000 Digital Drives provide high-performance motion control, network connectivity, and power amplification for Brushless DC, step, and DC Brush motors.
